The Natural Wonder of the Middle Atlas
About an hour and a half drive from the Atlas Day Hotel, the Ouzoud waterfalls constitute one of the most spectacular natural attractions in Morocco. With a dizzying fall of 110 meters divided into three levels, they are the highest waterfalls in North Africa and offer a striking spectacle in all seasons.
The name “Ouzoud” means “olive” in Berber, in reference to the century-old olive trees that line the paths leading to the falls. The water shatters on the rocks below, creating a permanent mist where magical rainbows form as the sun illuminates the site. It is a place where the power of nature is expressed in all its splendor.
The famous barbaric macaques (singes hoards) took up residence in the surrounding area and became the site’s mascots. These mischievous primates, accustomed to visitors, offer fun meeting moments for young and old. A refreshing and exotic experience awaits you in the heart of this green oasis.
- Panoramic Hike Developed trail going down to the foot of the falls with multiple viewpoints
- Boat trip Traditional boats to get as close as possible to the waterfall
- Meet Monkeys Magots Observation of Barbary macaques in their natural habitat
- Traditional Lunch Local restaurants offering tagines and grills with waterfall views
Raveling is more than just moving from one place to another; it’s a transformative experience that reshapes perspectives. The world is an endless tapestry of cultures, landscapes, and traditions waiting to be explored. Whether it’s the bustling streets of Tokyo, the serene beaches of Bali
